Paul Strudwick began DJing at practicas in Bristol in 2012 and started organising the Magic Roundabout Milongas in 2013. As well as DJing at the Magic Roundabout, he has also played sets for many other organisers in the UK as well as in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Ireland and Poland.

He draws on the depth and variety of traditional tango music from the twenties to the fifties and creates his sets live to perfectly suit the moment, blending romance and rhythm, vocals and instrumentals, from favourites and lesser known gems, to keep the dancers on the floor.

Tango Argentino

originated in the back-street bars and steamy bordellos of Buenos Aires in the late nineteenth century, since then the dance and the distinctive music has developed and been enhanced through the innovation and creativity of those who fall in love with Tango.

Tango can be described as a simple walk, in time to the fabulous music and also a dynamic movement full of energy and fun. To dance Tango is to experience a silent conversation between the dancers that involves passion and seduction, it is the exploration of connection with feet touching, weaving intricate patterns when legs become entwined. Like conversations every dance with each dancer is different, like chatting to an old friend or flirting with a lover, the combinations are endless and timeless.

This is the essence of Tango...
